Harley Nightster Fuel Overflow Tube
Hi everyone. I recently purchased a 2009 nightster. Yesterday i decided it was time to prepare the bike for the long canadian winter. As i opened the side panel to get access to the battery to install the pigtails, i found the fuel overflow tube just hanging in the panel (that i had just removed). So my question is the following, is there a proper routing for the fuel overflow tube or should i just put it back in the side panel that it covering the battery? Thanks for the input!!

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. That tube should go down to below the frame, so that any spillage ends up on the floor. What it's precise route is I don't know and it probably doesn't matter. Just make it as direct as practical and with smooth downward curves, so the fuel has a clear path.
