He honestly is a builder but from the parts she has n everything she's better off just going back to stock.
Long story short to many hands before this parts have been taken off n lost. Her EX took it apart n left it.

Maybe you're getting what he has said incorrect because this is an easy swap.

That is going back to "Stock"

I understand if you want to keep the extended front end together for re-selling purposes (except for the wheel/rotor/caliper that you will re-use)

Simply remove the 99-earlier sliders and install a set of 2000-later sliders and reinstall the wheel/rotor/caliper (you may have a rotor spacer to remove if that extended front end was wideglide or midglide)

I have a "nice" 2000-later single disc slider set that would go right on

One more question...and this might make sense of all of this

Is your "GURU" somehow involved with getting any of these parts in this picture "when the dust settles"?

Did you mean to post the following in this thread instead of where you posted it here

This brother is honest n straight up, it's hard to put into words what this woman and bike have gone through already from to many hands (trying to make do) if ya can understand.

Can you take some better/closer pics of what you have...I can probably identify the parts... Wheels, rotor, caliper, all sets of forks and sliders.

Here's what I suspect you have on the Narrowglide stock length fork...

Left (99-earlier) is what you have...Right (2000-later) is what you need and then can use all those parts from the extended frontend (wheel, rotor, caliper)

Here's the complete set of 2000-later sliders that I would swap for the 99-earlier...

Hows this?
those look a lot like what you posted?
are you saying she can take the lowers off and remount them to the uppers on the 79 upper?

Well, those are normal 2000-later, 39mm tube, 3/4" axle, sportster/dyna sliders (just like the one in my photo), but with extended 39mm tubes with a "Wide Glide" Style of caps that can be easily changed to the "All Other" style of cap.

how bout pics of the other stuff

Need 2000 sportster lower legs/axle/both spacers/and nut
caliper bolts/ crush washers for calliper.... (those I can pick up at the local shop tho)
sell wide glide tubes for $200 or trade for complete front end if possible.

Makes sense, it sounds like his plan is to use those parts to swap out the 99-earlier lower legs from the stock length front-end and then re-use the Wheel/rotor/caliper from the widened extend front-end...just like I said

...no big deal

Yeah, get more photos especially of the other front-end, I think it had an axle that you can probably use
