Default new touring backrest

My girlfriend wanted a sissy bar, so I got her one.

I got the low shield style sissy bar with the touring backrest and detachable sideplates.

hope she likes them

All your passenger needs is something to give them the confident feeling they are not going to slide off the back of the bike. A small mini-rail back rest can acomplish that task. Sort of like a door stop. You don't have to get a huge appliance that fits in the small of their back.

We went to the dealer, she took one look at the one you are talking about and said not that. She thenpointed to a fatboy and said "something like that," which was one of the touring backrests. Well you know the saying. If mama ain't happy....

I know it looks kinda big, but you know it is detachable, so if it's just me on there it can come off, but will be nice and comfy for the gf, and will make her feel like she isn't going to slide off. Plus now I can get a luggage rack and take a real tent with me when I go onweekend fishing trips.

Thinking about one of those for my wife as I have a Mustang pad now like the small ones by HD and my wife complains that it gives her and pain in the ctr. of her back an offers no comfort to lean on at all. It may be big but does not look too bad.

Yeah that is one reason I got the gf the touring backrest, is it looks like it gives alot of support, and I don't think it would look to bad with the pad you have. With a touring style seat, the touring pad doesn't look really out of place.

I run a Sundowner for long rides and taking the wife so it would fit right in with that.
