Best lift/jack to fit sportster?

Being a cheap bastard, I stacked, glued, and screwed together a bunch of 2x4s and added a pipe handle... Works great and cost essentially nothing. I also have a HF lift and 24" high motorcycle "bench" that I made. But for tire changes and the like the little 2x4 thing works best, plus it's small enough to not take up any room and plenty stable.

I don't think I can post pics... I know that the forum won't let me open any pics anyone else posts... Weird.
Here is a link that explains how to do it: http://www.nightrider.com/biketech/bikelift.htm
The only major thing I did differently was to use layered 2x4's, as I've got piles of the things laying around. This also worked out well with the overall height and the top piece is offset for exhaust clearance. The eyebolts for security straps are probably over kill. Sometimes I strap it down, sometimes not. It's pretty stable just resting on the frame.

Been using it for a long time, often with bikes much heavier than a Sportster...if it was going to break I'm sure it would have done so long ago. Here is the lift I originally wanted, but was just to pricey. The type of lift you describe will not fit under many of the lowered bikes easily. http://youtu.be/3JDKvH6e0Vw
The lifting arm in the video you posted, looks like a single piece much solid than the HF above, which has a weld right where most of the stress is.
