Default Nightster with screamin eagle heavy breather?

Is anyone out there running a Screamin Eagle heavy breather air cleaner? I'd like to get one for my Nightster. If anyone does have one, any sort of mods needed to install it or can it be installed stock? If you had to purchase any additional parts what is necessary for this to be installed? Any info would be great, Thanks!

I am running the Heavy Breather with a PC III (dyno tuned) and Short Shots. Currently the Heavy Breather is at the powder coaters getting flat blacked. Tuning is a must and you might as well go with an exhaust if you're stock.

I have the heavy breather, but installed the PCIII at the same time, so I don't know how well it works on a stock bike. It bolts right on, and you would probably be fine if that is the only mod for a little while, but I don't know why you wouldn't want to remap and change your pipes.

Don't waste $150 for a download at the dealers. Just add another $139 (total of $289) and buy a Power Commander V which then can be remapped to anything you like it to be and is transferrable between bikes.

It works great on my 08 1200C with S/E slip ons and stock ECU (only rode for 20 min though) I had no popping or anything but I am still getting the remap. Just install the breather yourself save a little money and see how it runs, I installed mine and I'll be able to ride to dealership (2miles) to get remap.

Thanks for all the info guys. I have already installed V&H Straight shots on the bike, so step 1 is done! If I'm not mistaken a black screamin eagle heavy breather could be purchased instead of the chrome one? Some on here have said I would need to powder coat it but I think they sell them black now also. Anyone think a fuel pack would be a good idea as well?
