Default Ridin the trailridge road, 11k ft.

my buddy with his chopped nightster, and i and his wife, etc met up at a dealership, and headed west up to Trail Ridge road, up in the Rocky Mt Nat Park. then ended up at the labor day weekend rally, in Loveland, Co, called Thunder in the Rockies. (gets lamer every year, sadly.)

here's some pics....

as we were at the rally, noticed one of the inside vendors was from the Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis, selling the left over FTS work shirts, etc.
I just happened to be wearing mine, and started to hang out with the owner of the Full Throttle. He thought it was cool i was wearin mine, ...it was a comical experience.

as we were on our way home, we noticed my friend's nightster's rear fender dropped, on the tire... bolt had broken. so we fixed it in a truckstop parking lot.

i love takin low light pics...

i'll be sure to tell him someone noticed it...
it's his speedo! he says with a little effort, the stock speedo fits inside the can. so it's a little cool to put it in there, and his bike is "never dull" so it fits the description.

Question: Did you have to pay the park entrance fee to ride trail ridge? How did the carb handle 11,000+? I've thought of riding up there but wasn't sure how the carb would handle it....

Very cool rides!

And of course you got a killer cinnamon roll at Johnson's Corner right?

I've never had an issue with noticeable performance issues for the short duration of my high altitude runs. With my bikes jetted for Denver's "mile high" setting I've been fine state wide.
