Default Stashing the registration

I have an 02 1200c and i am trying to figure out the best spot to stash my registration and insurance card. On my first bike i had a key they lifted the seat so i stored in on top of the battery. Now that I have a real bike i am unsure the best and safest spot.

Not sure as to where is the "best" place to stash it, but I do have one recommendation....

Be sure to stick it in a sandwich bag or something else that is waterproof ( I found this out the hard way ).

Folded up in my wallet with my insurance card. Not leaving anything like that to be found on the bike, if stolen they've not only got your bike, but your registration and insurance, what's to stop a thief from just saying they're you and forgot their wallet/license and using that stuff to prove they own the bike?

My bike came with a waterproof license plate holder with a compartment in it. I actually like it alot. I'd be worried abotu misplacing my wallet or having that stolen vs my bike with the registration.

Like the others I carry it with my proof of insurance on my person. Usually in the side pocket of whatever jacket I'm wearing. It made it very handy when I had my accident a few weeks ago to just tell the paramedics where it was so they could give the registration/insurance card to the state trooper when he showed up.

If for some reason you're ever in an incident and unable to communicate with the first responders it's easier for them to look in your pockets rather than hunt through hidden stash places on your bike.

I do the same thing. Everything folds up nice in the wallet.
