Default metal flaked my tins... candy spray and glitter

I primer'd the tank and the rear fender, then sprayed it with this stuff... it's pretty cool looking, and very "metallic" and you can see in the pic, the little vial of glitter...

i sprinkled it all over the still tacky silver basecoat.... i also sprayed some clear coat over it all to help the glitter stick. of course, the glitter would barely stick on top of the coats, so it created bumps.

and these were the colors i used... one red and 1.5 cans of the orange.

started spraying the red first, on the sides of the tank and the edges of the fender....

then, i sprayed several coats of clear coat, and those glitter bumps kept getting bigger along with the thicker coats...
the next day, i sanded it down, and then added more clear coat... it looked awesome! and i was gonna do it again the next day, but it started to rain and was around 50 degrees... didn't want to wait another day, since a bike show is coming up (tomorrow) so i decided to sand and re clear another day....

this is what i got so far....

it's got lots of sparkle... i can't believe it's almost like a real metal flake paint job...
has anyone ever used the glitter along with metal flake or candy paints?

i knew this could work, and i'm glad i did it!

more pics from the show tomorrow!

Although that may look OK (no better than OK though IMHO), I don't think it fits that bike.

I did it on a bmx, had to hang it from a gate lintel and spin it as i was spreading the glitter to get a decent spread.
Is that cellulose paint? surely that's useless if petrol / gasoline gets at it? nice colour tho'!
