Silvabjeffrey, I installed my Fastback seat about a month ago. I notice some flex at first and that the seat's metal hole (underneath) did not fit exactly over the bolt (like the oem seat). Once the seat was bolted from the back fender the flex went away. No issues so far. Have to say...this is a great seat....and much nicer looking than the Sundowner I had on before.

Mine is for the 4.5 gal tank. Got a smokin' deal @ $160 and it was like new.
Retains the tank/seat gap as per original. Gives the bike a bit of a cafe' flavor too.
Love It!

For a 2 up seat it looks nice. Nice looking bike, but please remove that sticker form the top of the AC cover LOL!

I had the same problem when installing my day tripper. If you loosen the back tank bolt and then lift up on the tank and re tighten you should gain the clearance you need to slide right in.

Anyone have any feedback yet on how this seat is from the passenger's POV? I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on this mod, but I'd like to hear what passengers have to say about the ride. Thanks in advance.

This is a nice seat in general. Not so sure a passenger would like it for a very long ride as the rear portion tapers to a fairly narrow size. For regular 2 up riding Mustang makes another nearly identical seat with a more substantial rear section, the Day Tripper. About the same price. If you mostly ride solo like I do the Fastback is good. I only use that rear portion to set my sissy bar luggage on when travelling.
