This is a Bros Mfg kit. I chose that because it had everything needed to do it, I didn't have to search for anything. I did it 2 years ago and then it was about $2400 I think, but my memory sucks. It was a fairly easy job installing it. I had already upgraded to a 1200 the year before I did this, so I can't answer that too well. But I didn't really notice a power drop or anything, so 883 might be fine. Handleing....., well that is another story. It doesn't handle like it used to, and took a day to get used to. The wider tire doesn't lean as well, so hard cornering has been slowed down. For me that was fine, as I am a cruiser as opposed to canyon carver.
I have my frame chopped and the wide tire, I am definitly just a cruiser!!

Don't mean to hijack, but that is a gorgeous bike. I am not normally a big fan of the wide tires but that is very nice. Very simple and clean and everything flows. You wouldn't happen to have any side pics would you?
Thanks
Robbie

Thanks for the info, I was looking into one of these kits and I was wondering how it would change the handling characteristics of the bike.
