Default How big are my nuts ????

HA that got your attention

So anyway im going to be changing my clutch pack and i want to have all the right tools there when i start into this project , what size sockets do i need to get the two large nuts off the sprockets??

2007 XL883L bike

i have 2 full craftsman tool sets, shop manual, clutch pack kit from energy one with spring compressor , sprocket lock tool on the way, fresh primary fluid, c-clip pliers , new retainer clips, breaker bar for extra leverage on those large nuts, torque wrenchs , red locktite. anything else i need ? i wont be able to run to the store for stuff once i get started as by bike is my only transportation.

i read its about 1 1/2 hour job if all goes well, any advice would be greatly appreciated , its my first clutch pack job , but i am mechanically inclined so not really afraid to tackle this.
thanks in advance.

I'm thinkin' that you could go downtown and get one of those "girls on the corner" to help you ... I'm pretty sure she can get your nuts off ... I'm just sayin'

You do not need to remove any sprocket nuts to change the clutch pack. the basket can stay in the bike. you will need a compression tool to get the retaining clip off the pack. One can be fabricated, but i just spent the money and bought one i found listed on Amazon.

I just have to talk about those "girls on the corner" and the missus would gladly take my nuts off for me.

So long as you have all the sizes up to a one inch it sounds like you should be fine. But I would look for a manual
