Default Where do I buy a battery?

My battery is officially junk. The tender can't even save it.

Trying to find a place locally to buy one. Found one place but it's across town and he has 2. One is $115, the other is $85. I can get one from HD for $115, so forget that. Tried Walmart, autozone, o'reilly, advanced auto, sears.... no one even carries it - I was surprised.

I was looking on ebay at these...

If I order one, what's my cheapest best bet? Where have you guys gone?

I doubt it would have mattered. First your post says you want to buy one locally, and then you post 2 links for buying on-line.

BTW, one of the E-Bay links is for a counterfeit knock-off.

See if you have a local Batteries Plus store. You want the Xtreme AGM X2 battery. Should be $95. It comes off the same assembly line as the HD OEM unit (made by East Penn/Deka). It also has a two year warranty. Do not get the non-X2 Xtreme battery as it is a made in China POS.

I'd prefer to go buy local and do it asap, but doesn't look like I can. I even just went to Tractor Supply. lol

Charley - which is the counterfeit and why?

The 2nd link for the TMS (Made in China) ~$39.00 battery. A quality AGM battery can't be made, shipped to the US, and sold for that price.

E-Bay is full of knock-off Chinese batteries for everything from vehicles to cell phones. The same thing goes for flash (SD, Micro SD, etc.) memory cards used in cell phones and digital cameras. These aren't just copies, they are vastly inferior products, that typically don't meet specs. Unless the E-Bay seller is someone well known and reputable, I wouldn't purchase either of these products on E-Bay.
