Yes, what ahhwataday said, you can do it yourself. Search the site for carb jetting, as there is a lot of info previously posted.

FYI - That Big Sucker may pull too much air for your stock 883. I'm sure that others will either confirm or give you the complete opposite advice. Just my 2 cents.

It isn't that difficult to do, it helps a lot if you would go get a Harley service manual, all you need is a 145 slow jet and a 170 main jet and you my also need to pull the plug over the idle mixture screw.

I have a sevice manual coming.I just bought this bike it only has 2300 mi on it.my first HD. I'm not set 100% on the ness cleaner.I just want something that will work with the slip ons.I want better sound. as far as an air cleaner that pretty much, I just want something smaller than that stock roasting pan looking thing hangin on it now.is there an after market cleaner that is smaller and is not high flow?

If it's not high flow, you're not doing a stage 1 upgrade and most likely would not need to re-jet. The BS 1 will be fine on any 883 or 1200, as it will flow just about the same air as any other aftermarket/Stage I intake.

I think it's a 45 slow jet, not 145. The 170 sounds right.

It's not too hard, if you take the air filter off, you can change the jets without removing the carb from the bike.
