Default Drag bars with tank lift?

08 Nightster that's going to have drag bars and a 2" DK Customs tank lift. Will I have to run something like 4" straight risers or what? Anyone have pics?

They look good with 4" risers and you can sill use stock cables, or you can use stock risers.

I used stock risers with my 2" lift. Works fine...but with my drags if I crank the bars all the way to the right my start switch hits my tank. Makes a god awful sound.

Thanks guys, if you have preferences on black drag bars that aren't completely straight, but not raked back very far, I'm all ears.

i got myself some Ebay bars and they have been great... there is a pic on this thread that shows how close the bars get to the tank... mine never hit.

Also don't go any wider than 28in... it just looks odd on the bike

It looks like the factory riser mounts put the center of the bars about 2.5" above top clamp and here are the specs on the stock bars:

6" Height
32" Width
10" Pullback
6" Center
2-1/2" x 4-1/2" Clamp Area

I want to stay close to the same height, maybe up to an inch lower, and a more forward hand position, as well as narrower. I'm debating on finding something with straight (no rearward sweep) 7-8" integral riser like an 1.25" fat bar or replacing the risers with taller ones and using a knurled clamping surface. I don't want a broomstick, but something with little pullback is preferred.

Is anyone running something close to this? Pics / info?

Is anyone offering a mount or top clamp that will house the indicators so I can move the speedo off?

it will clear fine, i have flat drags with the DK customs tank lift and everything is perfect. TUCK THEM WIRES BOY! it makes the bike look so much cleaner. might as well get the coil and ignition relocation kits too. i just did all that last weekend.
