Default My 2012 brand new 48 build from a NOOB

okay here is my story.

I've been building modified cars for the last 20 years. But was born into a Harley family. Just got my license and fell in love with the 48. Next logical step build a 48, I am an impatient person so i ran out and picked up a brand new 2012. Picked it up in a cube and brought it home.

I'm relatively mechanically inclined but have never worked on a bike before now. I own a company that builds retail spaces, large format printing, wood and metal shops but i spend most times behind a desk. We do have a CNC table a number of people willing to help me do what i can't.

This is definitely a mild build, mostly bolt ons and stuff...

In Canada they come with full sporty rear fenders, center tailight and plate, its gotta go:

Springer seat, drag bars, relocated turn signals

Stuffs coming off!

I was going to paint the parts dark brown but chickened out. So i a 3M matte black wrapping everything i can pull off. It's coming out very well!!

Coming out flawless, better then paint, no clouds

I have shacky hands so i had a guy in back do the dirty work

Cut off about 12"

The tank is being sandblasted raw, we will then sand the steel smooth and clean then send it out for a powder coating clear coat.

I have more parts coming, Burly Slammers, Fender edge LED, Rush Shorty Exhaust that i will wrap in beige.

Hopefully it comes together nice. I will update as we come along...

Heres a couple pictures of some of my past cars, i've built about 20 or so
from mild to wild...

Looks like a good start. What's up with the seat springs? They look way too big.

Cars look sick too.

thats a shame about the silly rear end they have in canada , we get simular stupid stuff in the u.k as well , but that one got through o.k .

we only get one headlight at a time on the fat bob ? not both at once , like that is going to be safer , E U recon it may be mistaken for a car...LOL.......stupid french fekkers

Where do you get the 3m matte wrap? Is it hard to install, or did you take it somewhere? Im guessing any place that does vehicle graphics and stuff can do it??
