Default rk air shocks for a 1200l

greetings to all.
rk shocks arrived yesterday. just bought the airguage/pump for same at dealer...but they were out of the valve/valve assemblies needed to complete the install.
stopped at napa... got two 1/8 mnpt industrial tank valves29/32" length. removed plug that came with shocks with a 7/16 wrench. valve assembly threaded right in.
so if i install both shocks today, i imagine i'd have to add air pressure individually to each shock. am i correct or am i missing something? do i need to get the schrader valve assembly /hose/ valve assembly kit from harley? i want to ride TODAY.
thanks in advance...semper fi.

No, you can pump them up individually, just use the same psi in both. They don't need much if your solo and not heavy. I'd try maybe 2 or 3 pounds and see how it rides.

Do you happen to have the part number on those valves?? I'm thinking of using individual valves instead of the combined valve with the lines...

And yeah... plenty of people riding like that. Just check for leaks, I pumped mine up to about 20 psi and let it sit for a while, took a quick ride and used the pump to recheck the pressure... no loss. Its easiest to pump 'em up to about 10psi, then use the button to lower the psi down to where you want it. I run at about 5.

So what kept me from going this route was I didnt want to run air lines. Are you saying the valves can be mounted directly to the shocks individually and there will be no lines?

Yeah, you would just have to fill each shock individually, but the pump makes it easy to fill to an exact PSI.

Yes, you just have to be a bit careful getting the pressure the same (equal) in both.

Been running mine for years with a valve on each shock. I check the PSI periodically. Kept em both at 5 PSI each until I installed lowering blocks, now keep about 10 PSI in each.

Let us know how you like the ride!
