Default 14" Burly Narrow Apes, 12" cable/extension kit?

Well after a LONG time debating and finally getting the money together I am going to pull the trigger on a set of 14" Burly apes. My question is after looking through a lot of pics of nightster's with these bars, it seems like the 14" cable/extension kit is way too long. Looks like you could damn near jump rope with the clutch cable. I'm wondering if the 12" kit would be a better fit? Anyone have any experience in this department?

I did not go with the Burly narrow apes, I went with the Drag Specialties 14 apes. I ordered the 12 in cable kits. found the throttle cables, and brake line fine the clutch cable still looks too long to me

I agree, the 14 kit is insanely long.

I also just added drag specialties 14" bars. Didn't need throttle cables, 14" kit from burly is a bit long so go with 12'. I found the brake line and clutch cables both a tad longer than needed.

I have two new 12 in Burley Clutch cables. Way to long for 12 in apes. PM me maybe we can put something together. I end up getting a clutch cable off a stock 72. I found that the burley cables are cheaper quality than stock.
