Default Has anyone seen the new HD backrest for Sporty models? (pic inside)

I was at the dealer today and chatting with Val the Parts Gal and had mentioned that my bike would be perfect if I could find a backrest I could add to my Mustang seat without buying a whole new seat.

Low and behold she comes out with the above backrest. It's priced at $250. Here are the questions I have that she couldn't answer.

Before I ask, it's installed behind the struts off the rear fender. It comes with a plate that'll fit behind the stock strut. It appears to be a QD mount. So the backrest can be removed.

It says it's only for a solo seat. That said, we took it out to my bike and with the Mystang Wide Touring seat the one piece that has the passenger's pillion is sort of separated even though it's a one piece pan. If anyone that's seen it, do you think it could work with that Mustang seat?

Also, the instructions didn't state it there was fore and aft adjustability. It has about 2.5" of height adjustments. Can it be adjusted front and back?

I had the QD sissybar and QD Boss Bags. Will I need longer bolts than what they come with to compensate for the 3/16"(est) plate that will be added behind the struts (the plate should be flat with the rear fender)?

Does it have enough height to give good back support at it's highest setting?

Is it worth the $250?

If it can fit with my Mustang seat it might be well worth it.

Thanks

$250!?! for that price you could sell your solo mustang and add that to the 250 and pick up a mustang with built in backrest couldn't you?? You'd at least be in the same ballpark I think.

Every Harley part has a P/N, did you get it? Might make researching info a bit easier.

I realized when I got home I should have gotten the P/N.

I'd be interested in something like that.
Can you get a part number to share if possible?

Thats what i would do if i wanted a backrest. I have the Mustang solo with backrest. Looks much better than that HD mess in my opinion.
