Default "No ECU Detected" with Power Vision

I was so stoked when Fedex delivered the Power Vision tuner that I order from FuelMoto. I tried to upload the custom tuned that FuelMoto provided by doing the following;
1. Plugged in the power vision cable to the data port
2. Turned the ignition to "ON"
3.Then on the power vision screen I did the following;
a. selected "program vehicle
b. selected "load tune"
c. selected custom tune"

The screen would "look for ECU". Then after less then couples minutes the "NO ECU DETECTED" came on.

What am I doing wrong? Anyone els had the same issue?

I don't have a pv but other tuners need the run switch on so check that.

I did that. By having the switch to "on" is the only way to get power to the pv.

Are you certain that you have the latest firmware? I'd check that first to ensure that you have the proper firmware loaded on your device.

If that does not solve it, send an email to FuelMoto or to Dynojet. Both are very responsive.

I didn't have it in run.
Another member suggested it and I tried it and it working now. Thanks

*edit didn't see you figured it out*

Turn the key all the way on like your about to start it (lights on) as well as the switch on the lever you flip with your thumb. Same thing happened to me the first time..

Glad it works. You did have the "ignition" on but not the "run switch". Ride on.
