DK customs (Tamarak) 1 inch lowering block, combined with the airbags it's pretty much tyre on guard now lol.
as always, bolt on doesn't mean bolt on at all, the block was fine, but my swingarm had a big welding slag, rather than grind the swingarm I clearanced the block with a flapper disk till it lined up, only had to shave 0.5mm off so structural integrity will remain.

Somehow I got old and the last couple rides really made my back and shoulders ache, so I put this on today. Supposed to be tool-less quick disconnect... maybe. When I'm going over 100 miles away, think I'll put it on.
Ain't purty, but takes all the pressure off. Doesn't seem to cause head buffeting, either. Today's test ride was a good one, real high winds, air speed into the wind was 100+ at 70, but dead calm almost to 60 with the wind at my back. Sideways to the wind, was like riding twisties, really leaned into the gusts. Not much feedback for a bar/fork mounted shield. Pita to get mounted, could've used four hands, but I just cussed more to make up for the two missing ones.
Downside, besides losing the wind in the face feeling, not enough air flow to get the full cooling effect from my mesh jacket. Hadn't thought of that, might not be so great on hot days.

I like that black front end, thinking of blacking all the aluminum on my 1200C, get more contrast with all the chrome. Got a stock XL cast front wheel I want to replace the spoked one with, was thinking of painting it black and polishing the edges - would look a lot like what you have, and I like it in the pic.

Fitted the quiet baffles to my Short Shots. It should be a straight forward job but it was a fiddly PITA! The lower pipe was pretty easy but the upper one was a pain. The heat shield was awkward to get past the cylinder and then the screw didnt want to come out and then the baffle was stuck in there. once I finally removed it the new one didnt want to go in there either!! Took over an hour all told!! Sigh. Done now though
