Put a set of nostalgic hand grips on today. A little fatter an easier to hold on to than the stock grips.

Congrats on your new bags. Nice...they have the cut-outs to hide the shocks and move the bags forward and lines up to the fender nicely i.e. does not stick out past the fender.

This is by far my favorite thread...

Today I changed my shocks to the 10.5" burly. Looks good

A bit chunky-er than stock. Rode them and it's a much better, more comfortable ride. Not so jarring from all the bumps

Install took 30 min. Nothing quirky!

I took the upper belt guard off while I was there. I like the way it looks... Am I stupid for doing so? Is there a serious danger for running it w/o?

Trying to sand the rear fender to the way I like it. I love every mod I've done so far.

I put on the fender edge led tail/brake light kit on. It was a real PIA getting the wiring along the channel as I already had clips and existing lines running through it. Hubby and I learned why the instructions were so vague about the wiring We were even considering taking the fender off!!! But,
I opted to use tie wraps for the new wiring instead of trying to put another set of clips inside. It was worth all the bending, swearing, and aggravation to give my sporty more rear visibility though.

Took off the HD quick fitting (big) screen, need to mount the much smaller "tombstone" instead and test if I am happy with that.
I love the big screens protection, but feel like it ruins the nice looks of a Sportster....

Well... There was a La Pera bare bones solo saddle on ebay up for auction... I finally found one that fits my 98... anyhoo, it was the beginning stages of the auction and I mean to be 15 dollars...

BUT! I was doing it on my phone and I hit 115 dollars and hit submit before I realized the extra '1'...

Needless to say - I won the auction. So... I have a new LaPera Bare Bones Solo Saddle coming to me!

YAY!!

Put in a Energy One clutch, the spring plate failed in the stock one. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! Like I gained 20 hp! The shifts are perfect and when it engages it LOCKS UP TIGHT!!

Put a chrome horn kit on the bike and got rid of the little horn up front that goes Beep. The new horn is way louder.

$115 still isn't a bad deal for a $250 or so seat.
I've done my fair share of mis-bids on eBay, like bidding on things and then finding out the shipping costs more than the actual item
