So Far (I'll edit this post each time I make an update):
My 883L Mod Thread-9rsue5q.jpg

Figured it's about time to start one of these threads for myself. Seems like a good way to keep track of the bike's progress over time. I apologize in advance for the crappy quality pics. I'll make sure to get some better ones from here on out.

Where to start...so here's what the bike looked like right after rolling it off of the trailer at my house. Pretty much stock, other than painted forks, painted wheels, a Mustang Vintage Solo seat and rear turn signal relo.

Please note the one-eyed cyborg greyhound scoping out the new toy.

Here we have before and after shots of my DIY 3" tank lift. Also switched to forward controls.

My 883L Mod Thread-3nn5ocb.jpg

28" drag bars and HD Nostalgic grips installed. Added black buckshot heat shields and Plasti-Dipped the AC cover and Mirrors.

This was the first shot I have after I replaced the stock shocks with RK air shocks. Much smoother ride.

My 883L Mod Thread-ztbd5vb.jpg

This photo was taken in the middle of replacing the stock rear fender with a Vivid Black Nightster fender, relocating the ECM to the battery cover, relocating the turn signals back to their stock location (except closer to the strut covers) , relocating the license plate to the left side with a DK Customs relo kit, and adding DK Customs 1" lowering blocks.

My 883L Mod Thread-smapkrh.jpg

Fender install complete. HD Flush mount gas cap installed. DK Coil & Ignition relo. Cleaned up the wire tuck a little more. Relocated speedo with Autometer clamp, and Joker Machine bar clamp with stock indicators. Removed Plasti-dip from AC. Deleted front fender and belt guard.

Got my Biltwell HB seat in...but now my bike's stuck at the tire guy's shop...for some reason he's having trouble getting my new Shinko 777 to inflate on the rear wheel.

My 883L Mod Thread-i73zmmr.jpg

Finally, the tire guy, with the help of two of his tire guy buddies, was able to get my Shinko 777s installed!! Loving the look of those whitewalls. Too bad previous owner's wheel paint job didn't bode so well...

Also got my Biltwell HB installed and BOOM! Instant change of style. I really love the look of this seat.

Finally, installed the Antigravity 12 cell battery with just enough room to stuff the ECM right on top (with a layer of foam to protect from arcing), cleaning up the battery cover area nicely! Also, I was having issues with lose battery terminal screws, which seems to have been due to the soft threads on the original battery. All working well now with the new battery!

Your Sporty looks great so far. Let me know how that Antigravity battery works out for you. I have a couple customers that have been running them and they've been great. I had problems with some other Li batteries before.

Thanks, man! So far so good, but I've only ridden a couple times since installing it. I made sure to get the 12 cell, since I'd heard some starting issues with the 8 cell on the 883. I'll update after a while and if we have another cold day (God, I hope not).

What kind of problems did you have?

Latest shot. Weather is awesome today so I had to take the new tires for a spin. Tire guy told me they'd be slick for about 100 miles, so I'm a little nervous to push it too hard on the corners.

I used some Plasti-Dip spray to touch up the wheels. Not perfect, but not embarrassing at a glance anymore either. :P
