Default jetting question

I recently brought a 2005 sportster 883 and wanted a exhaust. So after some time I found a vanes hines short shots on ebay and I got them. I was also looking for a slim intake so I brought a stage 2 arleness intake. So my question is what jets should I be running and also what is the best kit to get for jetting?? Im located in old bridge, nj.

Thanks in advance and cant wait to ride.

to complete a true stage 1 mod the two items you have will work. the jets can go to a 45 or a 48 pilot and the main can stay at a stock 170 and just tweek your mixture screw out a 1/2 turn or go to a 175 main. This will make sure you are not to lean. I'm presuming you have all stock jets in it now. put in new plugs and watch them to see how your mixture is doing with the new air and exhaust flow.

If you're looking for a jet kit, try CV Performance: http://www.cv-performance.com/

You can order individual jets, or kits to suit your needs.

you might get away with just adjusting the screw, try that first.

Thank everyone. Greatly appreciate it.
Is it better to buy a kit or just individual jets and needles??

If you know which jets you will need, you can just order the jets. If your not sure the kits will provide a few jets to work with and usually a better needle and possibly some jetting instructions.

I do suggest you get a new needle, you will be happier with the results.
