Thumbs up Didn't Take me Long to Tear into it -Cat Removal

Removed the exhaust head pipe this eve and cut it in half. Next it the dirty part, removing all the junk. When you look at the cat it's amazing to think this things can even run.

Removal Process----------------

After I did the first half Just Dave thought it might be a good idea to wear a bandana. I was wondering why my lungs started to hurt.

Completed

Yeah very restrictive and causes a lot of heat, I am dying to get rid of my factory head pipe.

Pretty easy so far, just need to find a welder to tig it back together when I'm done. Should be pretty inexpensive, when it's all done.

Makes you wonder how exhaust can even flow through that clot...

Nothing your local exhaust shop can't handle

Just haven't done it to mine, because I still haven't made a decision on what direction I want to go in, 2-1, TD's, 2-1-2, I haven't heard the exact sound I'm after on anything yet. Bert's D&D sounded good but the bike was just idling, I didn't get to hear it out on the highway.

The Rinehart 3.5" TD's I have heard get annoying after a while, I currently have Rush slip-ons on the Limited only because they were free from one of my buddie's father before he traded his bike in recently.

I don't want to spend any cash on anything until I figure out what I am going to do.

Kinda makes me want to get into the exhaust business, lol, and just make what I want......

Keep us posted on what Steve gets it for......

The pro pipe is less expensive but also does not sound the same. Has a "sportier" sound if you will.
