Default Where did you mount your GoPro?

I just got a GoPro Hero3 from a buddy of mine and would like to know what is the best place to mount it. I am thinking helmet like everyone else, but would like to know if video will be shaky mounted anywhere on the bike (Road King). Thanks

I mount mine on the engine guard. It is not shaky and gives a neat perspective of the front tire and the road. I also mount mine on the handlebar.

I don't like the helmet mount. Just my opinion, but watching a video taken from the helmet mount gives me vertigo. Every little movement of your head moves the camera.

I mount mine on the left handlebar. I use a ball mount under the mirror stem.

Ditto, very cool footage, occasionally though I have noticed some shake, but I just put my foot on the highway peg and it all evens out.

I have a fork cow bell mount from hawg tag collar on ebay, works good and a fairing mount under trim strip that shakes too much. Mike

I tried the GoPro 3 and the JVC Addixion. I went with the JVC, but the results were the same. Tried many different mounting locations and I agree with the earlier posts, the one that worked best was the engine guard.

A few people endorsed the front fender with the suction cup mount... not a great idea. This was the result: http://themotorcyclemuse.wordpress.c...uck-tion-cups/

I have the Sony Action Cam that I generally mount on the handlebars of my "11 Ultra" using various Ram mounts. Depending on the road surface will depend on how much shakiness you get in the video. For that reason I bought the Sony as it has built in image stabilization.

I mounted mine on the crash bar with a Ram Mount. As said before it provides a nice perspective but a tad shaky

Here is a short video from mine mounted on the engine guard. Upload quality is not good but it gives you the idea.
