Default Winter project, couple questions

So this winter i plan on installing the SE255 cams, a SE intake, as well as exhaust. With this I am planning on buying a Power Vision for tuning. Currently my bike is completely stock. I have been reading and reading, but am still a bit unsure of what exhaust I should buy. The bike is a 2008 Ultra Classic. 99% of the riding is on the highway. I don't want the exhaust sound to drown out the stereo, but I do want a nice low rumble, but it all has to breath enough for the cams. I thought I wanted the Rinehart full duals, but from the posts I have read, they are pretty loud with a cammed engine? So now I am kind of leaning to the Vance & Hines big shot duals. I have also read that the stock header pipes are sufficient, and only slip ons are required.....so, now I'm just unsure of what to order. I just want to increase my passing power, and want the bike to sound good. Not trying to squeak out the last drop of power.

Thanks in advance.

If it were me..... i would look at other cams besides the SE255.

I would go with D&D 2:1 exhaust....

Just my .02

I've got the big shots with the loud baffles. They are very loud and I love them. I haven't done any cam work, so I can't speak to that. They do have different baffles if they're too loud. I love them, and would be hard pressed to change to something else.

Do the big shots come with the loud baffles or quieter ones? (or any? LOL) I don't want it to be a whole lot louder than stock, but with that, I don't want to suffer, seat of the pants performance wise. "Very loud" doesn't sound right for me.......

I originally purchased a set of the RC's and they were too loud for me. I then began to look at other setups and would ask the owner (if they were at their bike) if I could hear their bike running. (I never had anyone not want to start their bike). I ended up with the V & H complete system.

Talk to Jamie at Fuel Moto - his exhaust system is not loud but sounds good - and he can fix you up with a nice package including a tune for power vision.
ps you need to get rid of the catalytic converter - not for performance but because the added fuel in the exhaust will bake it (and your leg)

Cams and true duals will be loud. Agreed with above post get rid of the cat just for the heat mainly. FulSac Performance has great customer service and offers a powercore baffle that can go in your stock cans.
