Default "You need to take the car"

Yeah, no. I just got back from a business trip and had my luggage with me that I had to get home from the office. My wife and coworkers kept telling me that I'd need to take my car. Then what is rope for?

After 5 days (the longest I've been off a bike since I started riding) I started her up in the parking garage and I found myself grinning from ear to ear.

I wouldn't have trusted that it would still be there, but to each their own. Nice going on the luggage.

Once purchased a set of tires for my car and transported them on the bike.
Once, car was down and part on back-order and golf league .... Full set of clubs strapped on for 20 mile ride to course....
A suitcase is nothing... Some folks use those for their bike luggage .. Can't say how many times in my travels someone shows up at hotel with Samsonite suitcase strapped on.

I fedEx my tool box and suit-case for my trips.
(I travel with a backpack with enough to get by)

I know the feeling, when after dealing with all the ordeals and hassles of traveling on a commercial-airliner, you arrive at your parking spot to a shiny HD.

I knew I wouldn't be alone with this line of thinking!

Good to know! After this little experiment this is how I plan on riding to Washington DC next year.

I fedEx my tool box and suit-case for my trips.

That's a really good idea. I usually do my short trips with a backpack but it's the best of both worlds if I ship my extra stuff. Thanks.

I'm no stranger to loading her up either. This is what I did with my Vulcan on 2 separate trips we took. Definitely more room on the Harley. And towards the end of the season here I had left a bag on my luggage rack at all times. Looks like it belongs there to me. And I wouldn't hesitate to mount a suit case on my ride either. Good on ya!
