Default Drop seat kit

Hello,
Has anyone installed a Fat Baggers Inc Drop Seat Kit on a 2014 touring bike? If you have, could you share your opinions about it please? I'm thinking to buy one as I'm 5' 5" tall and even though I've lowered my 2014 CVO Limited by 1" from both ends I still can't get my feet flat on the ground. I don't really have a problem keeping the bike up while stopping, but reversing is a bit hard as I'm nearly on my toes. I wouldn't like to lower my bike too much from the suspension as it affects the handling, so I'm thinking lowering the seat height would be better. Oh, and yes, I've also had my stock seat narrowed and chopped lower and I don't wanna go buying boots with higher soles.

Default drop seat

have you maybe considered air ride ? I've had mine for about 3 yrs.
and for backing it's the ticket. little expensive but for vertically challenged
folks. well you know.they don't ride any worse than the stock shocks once you find that
happy spot .mine have gotten me around pretty well .

Have you thought about working your seat? I've been looking at the guys at Mean City Cycles and they have a lot of great reviews on this forum. I run around 5'5" myself so I feel you pain in the backing up department. Check out the thread below.

Default Harley Davison narrow primary

not sure if this will help you but Harley Davidson has a narrow primary cover it helps the vertically challenged get there left leg better to the ground . they actually use it on the ultra limited low .

How did you lower the rear with the cvo 13 inch shocks? Bracket?
Or install the 12 inch shocks?
If bracket what bracket works with the newer spring shocks?

Thanks in advance

I had the H-D low profile touring shocks installed on my bike, they lower the rear end by 1".

I just got done installing one on my sg,I have not rode a lot of miles on it but the miles I have rode I think it's going to work great. I could be wrong but I thoght I read somewhere that they wouldn't work on a cvo. I think it has something to do with the tire size not sure. I also installed the narrow primary cover and I love it.

I looked hard at one for my wife.

The problem is, even though it gets the seat low, it looks to sit you farther away from the bars and controls.

Folks I talked to said it's not a "short person's mod"... but more simply for looks.

I would seriously look at boot soles, don't know what you have against them.

You "looked" at it? Don't have any direct experience? I would think that even if it moves you back a little, it is easier to put some sweeper bars on and be able to touch the ground.

I would like to do it to my SGS, funds are a little low at this point.

I agree with you. sometimes "low" means you wont be able to see over the fairing.
