Default Highway pegs do not stay up

Put new pegs on my Limited and one of them will not stay up. I bent the insert that is supposed to keep them tight but still no luck. Anyone have an idea what I might try, other than duct tape? I should point out I installed H-D pegs.

Maybe add a second insert or a thin washer in addition to the original insert.

Try more insert.
They should tighten.

Buy a new spring washer. Once bent, they never work right.

Take them back and exchange for a new pair. They should stay up.

I would try a thin washer, if that doesn't work then you would want to contact the person you bought them from and let them know about the issue.

Merry Christmas

Definitely something wrong with your mount or peg. Mine were so tight, I considered leaving the spring washer out. After a lot of pushing and grinding my teeth, I finally got them in place.

I have the old style round with rubber O-Rings added to short angled peg mounts. Wont stay up. Thought about adding a fine washer of some sort. As it is there are no washers, just the peg and mounting arm. Not sure if I should use metal, leather, plastic, gasket material.

Had the same problem with my last two Ultras. Found a couple chrome metal screws and drilled a small hole through the bracket and into the bar. Turn the screw in and you're set.
