Default Wild 1 Chubby Apes

It seems to me looking at pictures of other member's bikes that the Wild 1 chubby apes seem higher than other apes. For example the 12.5" high Wild 1 looks at least as high as a 14" ape of another brand. Does anyone agree or disagree with this perception? If so, to what degree do you think they are higher? Anyone with with Wild 1 apes on a touring bike could you tell me which bars would put my hands just above the fairing or at the fairing edge?

Thank you!

I also had heard this fact. From everything I've read in the past, 12" bars will put your hands at the top of your fairing. Your arms may block the factory mirrors too.
My LA Chopper 14"s put my hands above the fairing and don't block my factory mirrors even though I added teardrop mirrors to the bars. There was a website that actually gave you the bar height from the bend to the top but I can't remember where I saw it. Here's a pic with my 14"s. to give you a better idea with hand/bar position. It may have been Wild one's website.

Here's my WO577 12.5". My buddy says they're as tall as his 14's. We can't get the bikes side by side to compare because we don't have snow treads.

I think the WO578 is more of the height I am looking at. That is the 10" rise...correct? So does that bar come closer to a 12" or 13" of another brand?

Thank yo u everybody for your help.

Here is a picture of my Wild-1 WO577 12.5" bars. They sit just right. Best investment I made. Very comfortable on the long rides and great around Town.

I have 16s on my king and love them. It has a lot to do with the seat too. With my mustang seat they are more like 14s.

WO578's here, added handlebar mirrors since my arms are now blocking the fairing mounted ones.

I agree.
I put them on my '13 CVO Ultra and it's now the most comfortable bike I've ever owned.
FWIW, I have pair of hand wind deflectors on mine just to help keep the wind, gravel, etc. off of my hands.
