Wheel Chock question for my SG
#11
I have a Klock Werks slicer on an 09 SG with a 18" front wheel. I use a Condor in the garage and have a similar chock on my Kendon trailer. The attached pic shows about 5 3/4" between bottom of fender and ground when the bike is upright. Clearance on the Condor is good, clearance on the trailer is very tight - as adjusted by me. Note that the swiveling rear clamp (swivel) on Condors (and the Kendon) can be moved back and forth within the chock. Farther back allows the front edge of the swivel to drop down more when the bike is loaded, which brings the back edge closer to wheel and fender.
Also, some Condor owners have trouble pulling the bike out. The swivel action (and material thickness) causes the tire to rise about 2" when the bike is loaded. If the swivel is moved back far enough the wheel drops down up to this amount after rolling over the swivel axle, as the front of the swivel drops to the floor. Moving the swivel forward allows the wheel to come to rest against the front of the chock before the swivel and tire roll past the axel and then down.

I have a dresser, as do a few others I know that used it. My son has a '13 RG and it worked well, he does have a small scratch on his fender, we think it may have come from the chock, not sure (also low profile tires, and after market rims), and another friend has a softtail, worked well.
