Default Already made the switch.

I purchased my first Harley back in December. It was a 98 Road King Police. I really liked the bike. It was nothing like I had owned/road before. But after a few trips two up with my wife (and her absolutely falling in love with riding) I realized we needed something more. Sooooo this weekend I traded the RK in on a 2005 Ultra Classic. OMG a world of difference in my opinion I liked the RK. But I LOVE this Ultra Classic.

The Ultra is nice but you could have done much of the same with the Road King and kept the versatility. My Road King usually but not always has a fairing. Unless the wife is with me I keep it stripped down solo. Also have a detachable tour pack. Not being critical and glad you and the wife are happy. Maybe you should have kept the Road King and bought the Ultra? That is what I did last year only went with a Road Glide.

Not everyone has 6-7 grand laying around. If they did, I would still have my Wideglide.

For sure. I would have loved to kept the RK to really customize. But do not have the finances for it. So I chose to keep momma happy :-)

Welcome to the 88CI family what happened to the lowers?? The version of your bike is pretty much the same 02 thru 06 with the obvious exception being the radio. Depending on the mileage you may want to begin searching the cam tensioner threads.
