Default My new used parts purchase and 1 ?

Good Day:

I purchased some used 2000 FLH bags/ trunk/ front fender/ outer fairing all painted in vivid black with red/gold pinstripe. Matches my 01 road king with the exception of the pinstripe being red on top and gold on the bottom on my tank.
I was looking at trunks for awhile and scored big time with a king tour pack with mount rack, lock no keys.(no problem easy fix) $200.00 The trunk was sold before I ever saw it my mind.

I think he saw how pleased I was with the trunk. Well this gentlemen says I have a front fender some saddlebags and a outer fairing for an extra 100.00. He starts to unwrap the fender from the bubble wrap and I can see the shine and I tell him don't bother to unwrap it. My o1 Road King fender had turned the black grey from a previous owners neglect to see brake fluid dripping on it from the splitter. I kept her waxed to hide the grey and priced fenders on line but only window shopping.

I asked about the saddlebags that were boxed neatly up and wrapped and he said they were all a matching set. I grabbed them all. (thank you again)
The tour trunk is mounted, and I like the look of the hard bags. Changed the whole appearance of the bike in one afternoon. Reminds me of when I was a kid with parents driving down the road and a state policemen would come riding by on their great big grey Harley police bikes.(R.I.)

I have one question do these bags open outward(lids) towards you? I'm pretty sure they do and I positive if the don't they will, but I thought I would ask.
been riding for 40 years now and I still get excited about putting parts on a bike new or used. And this detachable stuff is great on a KING.
Thanks

Damn, you stole that stuff!!!! Not sure of your question of how the bags lids open??? Same as any other Harley touring bike until you get to 14 models with new latch design or if they are LEO bags.

Yes the guy said that he wanted them to be used and not resold for a killing. . I am in Portsmouth RI. Bought the stuff in Maynard Mass. nice area. I did get lucky the gods were smiling that day.

Thanks that's what I thought about the lids, I kept setting the bags on my rails going how are these going to open? Woke up this morning and said I bet they open out away from the bike and why they put that tether(material) strap inside.
Thank you again

And 1 more I can post photos yea. The bags need hardware yet there just sit on there with a bolt thru. I stuffed the lower portion of the passenger pillow with memory foam wrapped in plastic bag. Front fender is on and trunk.
