Having read back through this thread I don't think we have got to the bottom of this just yet! The device pictured is an aid to setting belt tension, but is not for torquing up the axle. Can someone shed any more light?!

Personally I have a 36mm open/ring wrench and a 36mm socket.

I'm actually talking about the adjustable extra hand tool as well as the one to tighten the nut with a torque wrench with the muffler still on.

just use a 36mm socket and push down on the bike aliitle , the socket will go right on the end of the axle allowing you to torque it down. don't waste your money on that tool that you hold at 90* to torque it, it's a waste of money.
