Have you looked in your Harley tool bag for the wrench? My bike came with one. I assume that you are talking about the wrench to turn the cams which push against the swing arm bosses?
It occurs to me that you might be referring to the tension tool that presses up against the bottom side of the rear drive belt instead of the wrench.

Are you talking about that adapter that fits on the end of a torque wrench at a 90 degree angle to allow access to the rear axle bolt without having to remove the exhaust (or whatever is in the way of direct access)? If that's the tool you are asking about, I personally haven't used it but don't know why it wouldn't work. Costs around $60 IIRC>
