Default Cheap ways to customize your bagger

Any thoughts and ideas to customize your bike? I am replacing the "Classic" decal on the tour pac with a decal that matches except it will have my last name with the same look as the classic decal. I am also replacing the reflectors on my saddlebag latches with a plastic decal to match the one on the tour pac. If anyone has any ideas to customize your bagger fairly cheaply, please share.

Greetings from SO-FLA,

Please dont put stickers on your Harley Davidson. You can get Saddlebag Latch Inserts from Drag Specialties on Ebay for like $30-50. They are billet and come in different styles. In my opinion, a much better solution that is not very expensive.

In terms of other mods, there is a sticky post at the top of the Touring page.

But off the top of my head.....Smoked turn signal lenses, LED turn signals, LED Instrument Cluster, HID Headlight, Chrome bolt caps, there are really a thousand other items I could list.

Just go online on Ebay, Amazon, etc. and start small. Use max price as a filter and get goin!

Ride Safe and Ride Often. Rubber Side Down. Over and Out.

You could spray paint it, or plasti-dip it.

Here is a cheapo mod for under $5!

If you have the stock ugly galvanized shift linkage. You can go buy a chromed brass toilet supply line, cut it to length and cover the ugly linkage by sliding chrome line right over it. I did this early on, and it worked great. Also put some dabs of silicone caulk inside when you slide it on or it will rattle.

A cheap mod I used alot on previous bikes I would take the black switch housing bolts out and put in chrome button allen style bolts from my local hardware store. Cheap easy and looked nice.

Kind of hard to get away with cheap and custom in the same sentence. I am a mod over-killer.
