Default question about breather hose for ultra classic

hello
I am working on a 2000 ultra classic looking at the air cleaner the breather hose that comes off the heads to the air cleaner can I remove it from the air cleaner and make it longer to run up under the top frame rail to the back under the bike. if so will that cause a running problem I don't like the oil going in the air cleaner
thank you
kevin

Yes, BUT you must put a filter on the end as the head pull air in through the hose into the heads. Second, you have to plug the hole on the rear of the air cleaner for the same reason. To keep **** out of the engine. Having the hose run up before it goes down will assist the oil to go back into the engine but some will eventually get to the tiny filter so it'll need replacing periodically.

Search the forum, there is a post someone put on here about four months ago that shows with pictures the proper way to do the modifications that I followed to do my bike. It came out nice. You do not want to run the hose up, it has do go down or the oil won't drain properly. It's easy to do, I did mine in less than an hour.
Good luck

FWIW, no filter on mine. Hose ran directly to ground.

Plug the A/C and for God's sake make sure that nothing can COME LOOSE from the original A/C or your mods and get sucked into the engine. I used RTV on both my TC I did this too.
Filter? No. IF YOU NEEDED A FILTER ON SAID HOSE THEN THINK OF WHAT THE STOCK SYSTEM WOULD DO THROUGH THE CARB, OR TB. You manifold vacuum would be all hosed up. The damn things couldn't run.
Dirt doesn't get sucked either.
