Default Best cam for 2013 Street Glide

I am new to the performance thing on my Harley. Currently, I have added the Screaming Eagle Pro tuner, Motofuel Jackpot mufflers, ceramic x-pipe (no cats) and Screaming Eagle burst breather. It has been dyno-tuned by HD. I am looking to add a little power to it. What are my options adding horsepower and/or torque and to give it that great cam sound?

In my humble opinion it depends on your riding style. If your a type that runs high in the rpm range or not. Looking for low end torque or need more mid range power. The list of cams are crazy and can get into quite a back and forth type of conversation. I believe there are many articles and conversations already established in this forum somewhere about this topic. Have fun and adding a cam does make a big difference and compliments what modifications you have already done nicely..!

You'll probably get as many suggestions here as there are riders on the forum...

Like DMetcalf said, it depends on what you want out of the bike - peak HP, low end torque, broad power, etc...every cam is a compromise of some sort.

Since it looks like you got a lot of your stuff from Jamie at Fuelmoto, I'd suggest calling them to talk to them, let them know what YOU want out of your bike and see what they say.

Good luck, and let us know what you decide on.

I don't know anyone that had sound as a requirement for a cam. Big touring bikes, I prefer a low to mid rpm torque cam to get 800+ lbs rolling. I prefer SE or Woods.
Keeping your top end stock or not also directs your choices - some cams prefer more extensive builds than others.

Best thing to do is call some companies, Fuel Moto, Andrews, etc...and get there opinions and base the decision on the riding style you have. I went with Andrews 57 for my 13 glide but haven't installed them yet. Research, research and more research. I done weeks of research before buying.

I put a 555 in my bike, can't even tell.

Going to need a bigger cam (600") +/- and compression to achieve the goal your looking for.

Like stated, talk to a builder.

I've have used three different cams, First was a Woods cam that my local dealer suggested for a 103 build on a 2006 88 engine. I wasn't impressed at all. The next was a Fueling 574 that went into my stock 2010 Road Glide with a 96", that cam really brought the bike to life and was a blast to ride and sounded wicked. When I got my 2014 Street Glide I wanted to put another 574 in it but I let my engine guy talk me into going with the S&S 585, I was really disappointed with that one, it reminded me of the Woods cam, it was more of a mid to high range cam and was flat on the bottom. I had a buddy that had the Fueling cam and talked me into getting that one and that is what I would go with.

Here is a video of the Fueling 574 cam idling, the V&H exhaust helps make it sound good being a short exhaust but it sounds good in a 2 to 1 exhaust as well.

Check it out..
http://www.bigboyzheadporting.com/tccams.htm
This site allows you to compare the characteristics of 3 cams at once.
A good tool to use.

SE 204 cams, a good all around cam.
