I would definitely get the drain pan.; It's a very simple thing, but works perfectly

It'll work better for my Buells anyways (no lower frame rails to lift against).
I considered getting a table as well, but the only thing the table gets you is the bike higher in the air. The first time you need to take off a front or rear tire ... then you need another jack to lift the bike in the air while on the table. I like the J&S Jack because it is so universal, less than a table and takes up less room. Just my $0.02.

I owned a lift table and rarely used it. I already owned the J&S and just found myself not using the lift table. It took up entirely too much space in the garage for the use I got out of it.

If you placed an order during Black Friday or Cyber Monday and your order, like mine, still shows to be processing, here is an update.

I was talking to the J&S Jacks guy on Facebook yesterday after placing my order number 6602 on Sunday and he said my order should ship by end of next week, they are still trying to catch up from the 15% off sale.

And possibly early next week, and that an email with tracking number would be sent when it did, super nice guys and excellent communication by the way.

I see both of your points. I already have a bike jack that works for me. I have 4 bikes, at least one always needs service or worked on. Especially my 98 Buell S1W, it needs restored. I can actually store it on the table. I've used a bike table several times, and I like the fact I can adjust the height, and set my tools that I need on it while working. The second jack thing, well I have a little scissor jack that works great for that. Plus with the Buells not having a lower frame section to sit on a conventional mc jack, this again gives the table an advantage, for me. YMMV
