Cool Inner Fairing Mounting Brackets??!!

On my 2004 EG Classic I replaced my broke factory metal inner fairing brackets last year with the orange plastic or nylon aftermarket brackets which were supposed to be way better than the HD brackets. I'm not naming them because I'm not tring to advertise for anyone here.

My issue is since I replaced them with the orange ones, it seems that the inner fairing shakes way more at idle than it ever did with the metal brackets. It clears up once you get underway and apply throttle, but idling it is terrible. Has anyone else that has installed these noticed the same or should I be looking for another cause? I am thinking of going back to the HD brackets, but before I spent the dough and time, wanted some other opinions from others who were using them. Thanks for all your help!

I also changed to the Same fairing mounts 3 yrs ago with same results, more vibration at idle up around 2 grand when it smooths out.

Plastic is going to flex more than metal even if the design incorporates a lot of ribbing and gussets. It can be reinforced with glass but it's still way off the strength of metals. Harley beefed those brackets a while back. If the new ones are of the same fitment i would go that route. If it's shaking that bad it's onlya matter of time before plastic breaks as itis terrible in fatiuge situations.

Thanks to all. I think I'm going back to the steel brackets. Happy Holidays!
