Default Fairing Mounts

I have a 2012 Limited and was wondering if Harley made any improvments on the fairing mounts.
I had a 2002 and both sides broke and after fixing them the plastic started to let go.
I know the roads up here in New Hampshire are not the best and in concerns me
Thanks
Carl

The newer bikes have updated/stronger fairing mounts but in my opinion, they could have been made stronger. I reinforced my vertical mounts with some metal L brackets from Home Depot. Now the fairing will break before the bracket. Hope not!!

Yes they did beef them up some a year or two ago.

I put some L-Brackets on mine as well and it did break the threaded connecting point on my inner fairing.

I think the brackets are designed to break before the inner fairing does intentionally since the MoCo knows these bikes shake, rattle and roll.

I recently had Jake @ Glide-Pro ( www.glide-pro.com ) install one of his front motor mounts in order to minimize the front end shake.

It made a BIG difference!

Might want to look into them. They might not be on his website yet but he does now have some for the newer bikes.

Enjoy that new ride! Congrats.

OK, I know a lot of guys have beefed up their vertical brackets with L brackets.

Has anyone else had an issue with the fairing mount cracking due to this?????

I do have a spare inner fairing but I really don't want to swap everything out if I don't have to.
