Default How to adjust crooked gauges???

I just received my gauges back after getting red LED's installed. The issue is both the speedo and tach gauges are not level as both bias down towards the center. I read where I may be able to "adjust" the gauges by slightly rotating the gauge in the bezel. I only need a few degrees, but it is off enough to drive me crazy. Is this as easy as it looks? Do I need to loosen the bezel ring?
Thanks in advance.
Signed, Old trim carpenter who notices way too much.

LOL. Harley thread. Sort of figured that was a given. Also assumed that the picture in my avitar was a give away.... With that said, 2011 SG. Both the speedo and tach need to be rotated about 3 degrees.....

They are held by a bracket on the backside of the guage. If you remove the fairing cap you can loosen the bracket a little and rotate them.

DOn't be intimidated by removing the cap. I was at first but I have had mine off several times for various small things.

Good guess!!! Marty did a wonder job on the LED's. Not a dim spot at all. This is almost the last mod I "needed" to do. Can't wait for spring.

Great. That is what I was hoping. Didn't want to break anything. Thanks for the help.
Is it spring yet?

Do I have to remove the cap or just loosen the screws that tighten the gauge? I have read both. One site said the snap ring had to be removed after removing the bezel, the other site said I could get a few degrees by just loosening the gauge bracket.

You will have to remove. Loosening it only really gets the windshield out. But it isn't bad. Cover the fender with something in case you drop a tool or bolt.
