I did think about the shims that came with the shocks. Will give that a try tomorrow and thank you everybody

Not one like that, no. I'm guessing that's a passenger backrest, as all the rider backrests I've seen mount under the seat to the fender. My passengers have a Tour Pak to rest their backs on.

Call Howard about the upside-down mounting. My inclination is to say that it won't work well for the shocks, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Default Please just call me today

On your invoice I asked you to:

1.00 ITEM #: 00 I wish you to call me & we will put the shocks on together. Please have shocks in hand & instructions already read & understood.

It is Saturday, 5:54am now and happy to take your call. You were given the parts to address this situation, I'll tell you how. Without a call there is no way I can go over what is not written on how to get your shocks providing the great ride you expect from me. I am here for you.

I have the Ohlins 2-2a and the backrest fits fine on my King. Yeah, you might need those extra parts.
