I'm doing a bar swap on a 16 street glide now. Rushmores are way easier than previous. 6-8 hrs on an early model was about right with internal wiring and extensions. I can't see 10 hrs on the new ones. The one I'm working on, I've probably got 2 hrs in the bars and am almost done. Doing a ton of other stuff too, so couldn't give you a total

I stopped in at a dealer I previously bought a bike from. Asked how much to swap bars on my 08 RG, stock to Heartitage bars. I've heard many dealers charge 1hr. Labor.
The guy first opens a book and starts writing down numbers. Adds it all together and says $725 plus the bars. Showing me all kinds of parts needed to do the job. I said NO thanks.
Went home called another dealer said 1 hr labor plus bars. I was there next day.
And the price of the bars was msrp.

There is one cable that needs replacing. Forgot which one. But My buddy had it done. First he got a quote than after they were into it they called him and said he needed $500.00 worth of cables. He told them put it back I will pass. A day later they told him. We will pay for the cables and stick to the quote. After it was all said and done. They only needed one cable. What a line of crap. Watch your back. This was on 12 inch bars. Good luck!

I did my 14 in about 2-3 hrs along with adding heated grips new braided brake lines and clutch lines. Did a 10in. wire extension and everything was internally wired. My local HD dealer only wanted 250 in labor I still opted to do it myself because I had to mill out bar end to accept the heated grip element on left side. So yes 10 hrs is nuts..........
