The manual for my '15 Limited says replace at .016" thickness. As said above.... they're thin when new. The stock pads for mine have "wear lines" that disappear when it's time.

looking in the 2010 touring manual, it states the wear limit at .016 as well. that's equivalent to .4 mm.

i'd run them for a lot longer, myself. I get about 35,000 miles from a set of pads.....

If I am looking at them and questioning then I'm changing.

There ya go, even better

Brake pads are too easy to check with a small mirror and flashlight and too easy to change to throw money away. They aren't going to fail all at once on a ride. I make inspecting the pads part of my weekly, detailed inspection.

Your pads still have miles left. Don't know how often you ride, check them accordingly. JR

Those pads have a lot of life left, unless you are changing rotors, I would still use them.

Hell on 08 and up models you don't need to remove the wheel "..I am jealous of that. If these were mine they would stay in. Waste is waste.

To the OP, your stealer is lieing to you. Those are close to the new thickness.

Like others have said, the NEW pads look like they're thin compared to my car pads which are almost an inch thick when new.

Stock up on a new set, and hold onto them for later use.
I would ride on with those pads.
