Default Front Suspension Upgrade

Ohlin 159's on the rear now, time to do the front. What do you recommend for the front end?

I think the ride is harsh, want to smooth it out. The ohlins on the rear are amazing, time to figure out the front now.

Dang, mine rides amazing( '16 road glide ). Whats your riding weight?
Maybe try different fork oil see if that makes it a bit softer. But from factory those come set up perfect for my 150 pounds. Seems nice and plush, yet firm under a cornering load. Dampening, rebound and spring rate seems just right for the kind of riding those bikes are intended for.

I put the monotubes in the stock fork legs. If I had it to do over I would have spent the money and purchased the ohlins front suspension and chrome lowers. May just do that in the future. FYI... Monotubes are much better than stock and were worth what they cost.

Perception that stock front end is spongy. IMO. The next guys come behind you say how hard it is so just gotta make it work for yourself. Just set up the bike out you want it.

Good to know, I think the Ohlin front suspension is $1700 (?) compared to the Progessive which is $500. Is it 3x better? Likely it is, I don't know. Thats what I am trying to figure out. Maybe there is a good option that falls between Progressive & Ohlin.

I'd like to hear more about the Legend Axeo at $750. Wonder what it could do for the Ultra.

All improvements are not cost linear. So no improvement that costs 3x more will be 3x better. The first 10hp of engine improvements cost 1/2 roughly in comparison to the the next 10hp and the next 10hp will cost even more .

I'm running the Legend Axeo standard height on my 15 Ultra and so far love them. Couldn't afford the Ohlin fronts. I have Ohlin #3-3 on the rear and they seem to work well together. You can get the Axeo from Iron Aces for less than the $750 posted on most sites and they are good people to deal with.
