Default Need mirrors to see past the luggage

I have the exact set up as below. I love the bag, but when it's on the bike I can't see behind me with the stock mirrors.

I've seen these extenders that note they raise the mirrors by 2 inches. Frankly, I not sure that's enough. Can I buy two sets and raise the mirrors by 4 inches?

If you don't think that's a good idea, can you recommend a long-stem replacement mirror that will sit wider so I can see around the bag? Harley makes a long-stem Eagle back "live to ride" mirror, but it's not convex and I don't want to give up the range of view.

Thx.

I wouldn't double them. They'll probably make the mirrors shake just singly.
Take your mirror off,and have somebody hold it 2 inches higher and check it out.

Going higher probably won't make any difference. You need to go wider. Try looking into these. Couple these with a pair of HD long stem mirrors for under $50 and it gets them higher and even wider.

Are your existing mirrors stock? It's hard to tell from the photo, but they don't seem like they have the stem length that my stock ones have.

I have the extensions and love them. They put the mirrors up 2 inches but it isn't straight up so they also put them out just a little. Made a huge difference. Only about $20 to try them. I don't see why you couldn't use 2 sets but I would try 1 first..

We traveled for months on our 2009 Ultra with one of the larger roll bags on the tour pack. I don't think it was as wide as the photo you posted, but pretty close. My stock mirrors were fine, so the bag in your photo must be REALLY big.

Yeah, I went out and sat on it and held an inspection mirror 2 inches higher, and I don't think that solves the problem. Hence the question about doubling them.

What you need are these.

I had the same problem, also I hated looking at my elbows in the stock mirrors.
These are made by HD. They are so far apart that it will take a while to get use to them, but nothing else gives the same field of view.

Which would be GREAT, except that Harley says they don't fit the Ultra, and on the web site when a reviewer noted they didn't fit right on his Road King, Harley's response was basically "Yeah, we told you they wouldn't."
