Default Windshield trim

Hello. I just bought a Harley windshield trim(#61300275) from e bay. Great condition but does not include pads : Instructions say-
(See Figure 1. Adhere six pads (5) to the back of molding (4) at locations shown.) Pads are not sold seperatlely. Anybody install one before? are they necessary? Any sugestions? Thanks.

get your money back. unless the seller said the pads were not included.

Were it me, I'd take the something like the soft side of velcro and cut small pieces out and stick them where the pads go.

I use a performance machine trim, no pads.

You asked about windshield trims and if pads were needed, I didn't know Harley trims even had pads.

I've had a few windshield trims from aftermarket vendors over the years and none of them had pads.

Here is my "performance machine" brand trim, I also have their saddle bag latches.

Mine just has rubber washers where the 3 screws go.
