RE: Red key light won't go off???
Thanks for the resposes. No LED's. Does have the HD plug up to unite the brake light with the rear turns. The "red key" is not a real bother but the fact that it will only start in neutral has the potential of being icky if the engine dies and requires a quick search for neutral. It does not show a code. Again it has no security system. Even tried disconectiong the battery w/o any luck.

I have a 2007 ULTRA w/o the security system. The "red key" light stays on all of the time. Also the bike will not start unless it is neutral. Any ideas? This problem just started @ 2500 miles.

As for the light, I don't know what to say except that if you could find the wire feeding that LED you could cut it. I'm not sure if that would cause a fault code, so doing that would be experimental. Without the security system there is no need for the LED.
I've thought about cutting the wire and re-wiring it through a switch so the light could be activated when the bike is parked, simulating an active security system. Maybe add a blinker in the circuit if appropriate.
