Question for RineHart TD owners??
 \\;
for anyone that has experience with RineHart True Duals, would you do it again? I thought I had my mind made up finally for my 08 RKC and was going to get RineHarts, but I was reading another thread today and it was mentioned that the left pipe was not designed correctly and sticks out to far which can be hit when backing the bike up and also maybe get more heat off of it. even though you did get the cross over heat eliminated by going with TD's.  \\;
Thanks for any opinions.

RE: Question for RineHart TD owners??
Have them on my 01 RKC installed them soon after they were released...
They Sound and LOOK GREAT
Since install I have had to
Replace the tips 3 times
Replaced rear header pipe broke at support mount
Replace 3 mufflers as the baffle breaks loose and rattles like no tomorrow
Would I put a set on my 07 RG? NO

RE: Question for RineHart TD owners??
I had Rinehart true duals on my 2007 Ultra classic and replaced them with the original stock system after about 3 months. I liked the sound but the heat was too much for me. However, I just ordered Rinehart true duals from Eastern Performance this week for my 2001 FLHPI. I never had a problem on my Ultra Classic with the left pipe sticking out too far and I ride solo, so no complaints from a co-rider. So why did I go back to Rineharts? I ask myself the same question. About 99% of the people with whom I ride, including my son-in-law, have Rineharts. So I guess I just need to conform!I did sell my take-off Rineharts to a friend of mine and I noticed last week that the tip on the left muffler was turning purple and his wife wants him to order the quiet baffles for them.

I agree with So cal don't buy them. I have an 06 and I've been through 2 sets of mufflers due to loose baffles, 3 sets of end caps turned purple, and my rear header pipe also cracked at the mounting bracket. They are easy to deal with at rinehart and all was covered under warranty but who wants to deal with so many issues. Last bike I had vance and hines with no problems at all.

If it wasn't for www.bigcitythunder.com I would have nothing to do with the Rineharts

I went with V&\\;H head pipes and Rinehart mufflers and so far so good other than the fact that the new purple proof rings are starting to turn purple[:@]
